Angela Tse is the Assistant Director of General Education at the Hong Kong Baptist University, and lectured in Literature at the Department of English, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She holds a Master’s degree in Comparative Literature (The University of Edinburgh), and a PhD in Victorian Literature and Culture (The University of Hong Kong).
Tse’s research interests concern literature and flexible pedagogy. Primarily focusing on 19th-century British fiction by female writers and increasing non-literature students’ interest in literature, Tse has special interests in the social impact of the vestimentary writing, i.e. the writing of dress, in fiction, and how pedagogical innovation can be achieved through the use of space, the shape of the classroom, and the alternative roles of teachers and students.
