Prof. Carol Klages is a professor at the University of Houston-Victoria located in Victoria, Texas.  After graduating from The University of Texas, she remained in the secondary classroom for thirteen years.  She has worked in higher education for twenty years preparing the next generation of educators. Dr. Klages teaches undergraduate methods courses as well as graduate courses in social studies as well as literacy.  She opened a dyslexia clinic that provides literacy instruction for learners of all ages.  Her research interests include teacher candidates’ perceptions of teaching and learning and the use of multisensory teaching strategies to teach reading as well as use in all content areas.  Dr. Klages resides in Victoria, Texas with her husband and far too many dogs.
