Gabriella Cagliesi

University of Sussex, England

She is a Professor of Economics at the Business School of the University of Sussex. Before joining Sussex, she was a Principal Lecturer at the University of Greenwich and an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University in New Jersey (USA). She is an applied economist with a scholarly background in econometrics, and secondary and primary data analysis. She collaborated with the UK Behavioral Team of the Cabinet Office in randomized control to study youth unemployment. Her research interests and publications span the fields of applied behavioral economics, labor, and educational choices and policies. She was the principal investigator of a project funded by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) to investigate widening participation in postgraduate studies. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the International Association for Research in economics Psychology (IAREP), the British Educational Research Association (BERA), the Royal Economic Society, and the Team-Based Learning Community."
