Dr. Carozza teaches at York University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.  Her academic background is interdisciplinary in nature. Her degrees are from the discipline of Philosophy (specifically: Argumentation Theory.) Her research areas and practice have grown to include the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), with particular interests related to digital pedagogy. She has several recent publications and ongoing collaborative projects that investigate student success, student satisfaction, and teacher presence in online asynchronous higher education courses. Dr. Carozza’s real passion lies in the classroom with students - teaching critical reasoning. Her experiences in the classroom influence her SoTL research.
