Matthew is the Vice President of Education & Agriculture Programming at Volatus Aerospace. He is a former high school mathematics teacher who first started using drones as teaching tools in his classroom in 2016. He has developed three educational programs at Volatus; the Science Experiential Aerial Research (SEAR) program which is the highlight of the presentation; Drones In The Classroom, which is a professional development program for teachers and school administrators to learn how to integrate drone technology safely, and meaningfully in their classrooms; and Youth Drone Camps, which provides students ages 12-17 with the opportunity to learn about the many applications of drone technology in industry, as well as piloting skills, photography and videography, and coding with drones.

Matthew has an extensive background in the drone industry, with industry-leading experience in the agriculture sector. In 2018 Matthew was named one of the Top 7 Drone Visionaries in Precision Agriculture, and was the keynote speaker at the Drone Synergies Conference in Dubai. He has been able to combine his deep understanding of the sensors and operations components of the drone industry with his love and passion for education to create a pathway to success for teachers to integrate this technology into their programs.
