Dr. MonaLisa Bal is the Chairperson, KiiT International School, an author and a Philanthropist. A prolific researcher and someone who has actively participated in the empowerment and promotion of inclusive and quality education for disabled children as well. She is presently in the process of putting in place a Centre for Disability Studies, with internationally acclaimed experts in the field which will be the first of its kind in Eastern India. She earned a bachelor's degree in political science with honours from Calcutta University and then proceeded to receive a postgraduate degree in political science from Utkal University, and attained an MBA from KIIT University. Taking her academic journey forward, she did her Doctorate in “Effective Learning in a Joyful Environment”, a pioneering area. She is also pursuing her D.Litt. on “Social Inclusion and Educational Policy: A Study of KISS Odisha” from Utkal University.”
The editor of the magazine named 'KLOUD9' has a thirst for joyful learning by combining the best of oriental and occidental learning methods and the quest for embracing the less privileged and challenged sections of the society under the canopy of quality learning for all marks her out as a sui generis academic helmsperson in the academically vibrant city of Bhubaneswar.
